Banking made easy. No problems, no hassles. Easy to interchange and transfer from/to accounts. Friendly service at walk-up.

They never have any help and the line is always out the door. It’s always a hassle to use the drive through because of their cash limit restrictions. Very disappointing service.

The Soldotna branch is always quick. Out of all the times I have came inside to do a quick transaction there has never been any one ahead of me except a few times. There are 2 to 3 tellers at a time where most banks have 3 to 5 so their efficiency is very good if you're making quick transactions. Added bonus they have a change machine, the only one in Soldotna that's why i added a star. ;)

There are a lot of GREAT people here! Sadly, there have also been more than one inexperienced person at the drive through who did not know what they were and were not allowed to do without making us go inside.
One of them was really rude, complete with rolling her eyes at me and saying that in order for my daughter to get money from her child's account (which also had my name on it and for which I had my driver's license), I would have to bring her birth certificate and another form of identification for her. After I left the drive through I called the branch and told them abut that experience. They apologized and assured me that she would be educated.
The next time we went to the bank, this woman was still working the drive through.
I understand people aren't going to know everything in a new position- that's why I requested both the ladies who did not have experience, ask someone. They refused. Hence, I'm keeping my bank account elsewhere despite the higher interest rates and the kids are planning to move their's as well.

I have been an Alaska USA member for almost 15 years and never had a problem. Since they have become Global CU, their new policies are not for their members, but for themselves. They closed my account including my credit card because I was on my son’s account since he was 18 and went to college, 10 years ago, and lives out of state. His account was overdrawn by a couple of dollars and they never contacted him concerning this. The day he realized that it was overdrawn he corrected it, but that same day they closed my account AND my credit card with them. They did not call, send a letter nor put a message on my message board. His account was not closed, and I had plenty in my account to cover his overdrawn account. When I went in to ask what was going on they said because my name was on his account, mine was closed. They said they sent a letter to each of us, but to his address although they had mine on file. They also told me that their policy does not include notifying its members of any information when something is wrong. This was the second time in 30 days they did not communicate with me about another incident in which a check that I deposited and they released the funds, although it was listed as a possible fraudulent account in their database, then 5 days later reversed the funds, again without any notification. When I asked them about that, they did not attempt to contact the issuer, nor the bank the check was from, saying that because it was a possibility the check was fraudulent, they never tried to process it, costing me $6500. There is no insurance to protect their members, they claimed it was not their responsibility to verify the claim. I had remote deposited it with the understanding that it would take 7-10 days for the verification process, and they refused to call the bank for additional clarification. The bank in question told me they could only talk to my bank about the situation. All I can say at this point is, do not do banking with them. I am unable to transfer my credit card amount to another card, and they have never contacted me on how to pay it off. This will ruin my credit score, they are the worse bank since they became Global. Take your money and go elsewhere, I am now a proud member of Credit Union One where they assured me that they communicate with their members when anything like this happens.

Used to be a great bank when it was AK USA. Now in the past few years since they switched to "Global" My card has been compromised over 8 times complete inconvenience. Lately I go to pay my bills when I have the funds in my account and the bank is doing this new thing where they don't pull the funds for my bills until all at once at end of pay period and I get a lot of NSF's lately. What else I was blamed for my card being compromised this last time. The one before and other previous times they at least had cards in store to give for this incident. I have never been treated with such disrespect and incompetent people. I have to wait over 10+ plus days for a card and now everything is getting shut off TV, phone, I need to purchase gas to get to work and food for the family seriously. I am taking my business to another bank who has it together. Global you are a terrible organization. Your fraud protection is god awful!!
