Minimal communication and questionable practices. When I locked my rate, it was only for 45 days which meant the rate lock expired 2 weeks before closing. Most other companies would have done a minimum lock of 60 days. I was then forced to pay over $700 for a lock extension, but two days before closing my interest rate was raised anyway. I was given the excuse that they couldn't offer that rate anymore because the "program" that allowed them to offer that rate no longer existed. I ended up using the $700 originally meant for my rate lock extension to buy down points. I will gladly pay a higher interest rate to another lender not to deal with the Jason Lee group again.

My wife and I, were given Jason Lee’s (Mortgage Banker) contact info as a reference from a friend after a yearlong engagement with another mortgage company who could no longer service our loan request. With just over a month before closure, we were frantic and in search of a jumbo loan product that was within our budget. After explaining our situation to Jason, he calmly asked for an hour to do some research on his end and within 45 minutes was back in touch with a viable option. Due to our previous relationship we were skeptical that we could get through the approval process ahead of a looming closure. Jason and his team did everything they committed to us up front and the final closing cost worksheet was within 3% of the estimated charges he provided us at the start. Furthermore, my wife and I were able to speak to Jason anytime we wanted throughout the process. This was not needed since his 5 star team was consistently updating and communicating with us as well.
