WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE EVER! Especially during these times where the stimulus checks are needed!!!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DESIRE TO HELP WITH LOOKING INTO ISSUES IS NONEXISTENT! Who is responsible for hiring the low quality of individuals working there!?!
Taking my business elsewhere! It's very exhausting to have their "back office" look into customer issues...
BEWARE! AND GO ELSEWHERE! Thank me later!

I have been dealing with Simmons Bank for over 2yrs to close a HELOC that should have been closed in 2017 (it's 2020!). Simmons Bank held both my primary mortgage and HELOC in Jackson, TN from 2014-2016. The local team who handled all my banking needs were excellent. They provided support that I felt was above and beyond what I've experienced dealing with numerous banks over the years. During my 40yr career I moved 12 times and have owned many homes in the process so have some experience dealing with banks. I sold and closed on the home in late 2017 at which time both the HELOC and primary mortgage were closed out. In the year following the closing of the property I received several blank HELOC statements and made numerous calls to Customer Svc to ask them to close out the line of credit. On every occasion, I was told it would be handled. In May2020 during a refinance on my current home, I was informed from my lender that I have an active HELOC at Simmons. I called Customer Service and once again was told it would be handled and they asked me to sign and forward a form to complete the process. I immediately signed and forwarded the form. Today, June 1, 2020, I receive another statement and late fee for my 2019/2020 annual fee...yes people, you can't make this up! I called immediately and spoke to a Customer Service rep who couldn't assist me but wanted to put me in touch with the local branch that I dealt with back in 2017. I asked to speak with a Supervisor and was told she wan't permitted to do so. She asked for my contact information to have the Loan Officer reach out to me which I provided. I asked for the Loan Officer's name and number which she informed me she could only provide their first name. Now that's customer service!! At this point, I'm concerned about their poor administration and handling of this matter. Especially since they are showing a late payment and likely may or have reported to the credit agencies. So, impact to my credit rating? Let alone, there's a HELOC in my name against a property I haven't owned in 2 1/2yrs which could easily be subject to fraudulent activity. Stay away from this Bank.....trust anyone else!

What a sad situation the Liberty buyout has become. The customer service has dissolved. If you encounter fraudulent charges on your account don't expect any help from Simmons Bank. This is the last of several issues that I have endured through the Sale of Liberty Bank to Simmons. We have had to call on more than 5 occasions to have unsubstantiated NSF fees removed. We were told these were "glitches" in the system. We believe that Simmons Bank simply hoped we would not notice. We feel that Simmons Bank crosses their fingers hoping that these charges won't be noticed and corrected or that legitimate NSF fees can be charged. If you feel that you still need a Simmons Band account keep an eye out for "Glitches". Sad.

BEWARE THE DEFINITION OF DORMANT!!!
My account went dormant after 3 months of inactivity. I'd logged in plenty of times, but apparently their definition of dormant means you have to have activity... Withdrawals/deposits/etc. It will cost you $5 for your account to go dormant. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Horrible bank. They bought my bank out a few years ago and I've had problems ever since. My debit card didn't work at all in certain states, they have horrible customer support and their app never works. Do yourself a favor and bank somewhere else.

Please do not use Simmons Bank. They do not protect their customers or follow through on what they promise over phone calls. We spent weeks back and forth multiple phone calls for a fraudulent charge on an old account we didnt make. They promised over the phone to contact the merchant and deal with the charge to not worry about anything and disregard letters but at the same time we got repeated letters stating our account was being sent to collections and would be reported to credit bureaus. Under no circumstances would I trust or allow anyone I care about to bank here or trust this institution. They still havent helped us. We ended up having to resolve it ourselves and do this bank’s job for them and still got another harassing letter.
After being with them almost 2 decades and not doing anything wrong, this appalled me to say the least. We have perfect credit and had since changed banks thank goodness. This was an old account with a small balance. We do not make mistakes like this and when we get fraud calls or notifications, we call every number we can and even call back again to confirm. No amount of calling them did any good. They do NOT care about their customers one bit. They throw them to the wolves for profit apparently.

Opened an account after 2 hours.
Weekend passes and account closed?
This bank earns their Google rating. Don't recommend.
