Amazed by the ratings. I have been a member for over 30 years and also additional banking elsewhere. I use everything available from notary to financial services. I say every single time I am there that my needs were met! , sometimes easier than I thought. Maybe over 500 transactions or info. Great service at times outstanding. It’s a Credit Union that’s easily as good as anyone

I’ve never really had any problems with this bank until today. I came in for a new card an issue with fraud and the girl told me that they never blocked the card from Saturday and for me to call the SAME number that didn’t block it and I asked her if I could get it blocked now and get a new card and she said “we’re gonna close in 30 minutes” when it was 4:20pm. So I leave then come back and then two other people saw me and basically said they couldn’t do anything till I called the number so I left my OWN bank with them not being able to cancel my card at least! I felt rushed out because they were gonna close in 40 minutes and I was more concerned because someone has been already using my card. More upset cause they couldn’t do ONE thing which was to cancel the card. 2 hours later after getting off the phone with Fraud he told me to visit my local bank for a new card because it takes 8-10days and I told him about my situation today and he said you guys should’ve been able to print me out a new one and could’ve blocked my card as well. So that just shows how focused they were on closing.

I have been a loyal customer with this bank for years. I have never had any issues with this bank at all and I am not a happy customer at all. You would think you are a business you would want to make your customers happy and make them feel welcomed there at thier business. Dont get me wrong the Tellers are very nice professional. But I did not pay my INS and the bank blocked my card. How am I suppose to pay my Bill's. This is the whole purpose of me having a bank card. What is the number one thing that can make or break a company. Word of mouth because of bad business that person will tell thier story which gives that business a bad review. I'm at the point where I'm ready to leave this ban. Why stay where you do not feel welcomed at allk

So I noticed a lot of the reviews are negative towards staff or wait times. I've never had a problem with staff nor have I had any issues with the bank. In the past I had been with banks who find ways to screw you over in more ways than one. However First American has done nothing but protect my money including haulting a fraudulent charge with a card that was copied by someone in St. Louis. I've called in prior to purchasing my car notifying them I would be needing to pay a hefty down. They assisted in making sure my funds were readily available it's been great. The login system for online is easy and quick I've never had an issue getting logged in on the site. This Credit Union has done nothing but protect my money and I would take that over the experiences I've had with major banks I'd gladly stay with First American and I have for 5 years now.

The bank manager didnt even know what an E-Check was and at first refuse to cash my check then once they finally called someone that know what was going on they still put my check on hold for 2 days to make sure my account would be safe . Ive had this bank sense i was 13 yrs old im over 40 now and yes i do have another account with a different bank that i use way more offten but unfortunately i do have to walk in once in a while and when i do its nothing but a pain in the butt

WoW. So we are going to pay off our auto loan early. Years early. We thought we would save some money by paying the loan off early. We have a balance of $13,840.67. First American Credit Union wants to charge us $13,903.24 to pay off our auto loan early. Instead of saving money by paying off our auto loan. First American is going to charge us more than what the current balance is. You know ok charge us more for early pay off. We will never do business with this swindler of a bank ever again. You get punished and robbed for paying your loans off early. Heads up people that's bad business. Life lessons don't do business First American Credit Union ever again.
