American Southwest Credit Union, Green Valley, AZ

I stopped in the drive thru today to deposit a check. Staff stated they could not help me because they required an electronic signature. My written signature would have worked but they choose not to accept it! So why not provide a device at the window to record my electronic signature? That would have been the customer service oriented approach! They would not do that. Very poor customer service!! I tried to get service today 1/22/2022 and see they are not open to the public on Saturday. Another display of not providing excellent customer service!

This is a small bank that is unique to Arizona and the southwest region. Their main branch is located in the historic town of Bisbee, which is very far from this location. They recently moved to a new facility near Safeway. I have always been happy with the service here and it is small-town service at its finest.

I have been an ASCU customer since 2017. The money I have saved in fees is substantial compared to the bank I used to go to. Using ASCU has helped me not only build my credit, but It has also helped me plan for my retirement. Thank you ASCU for all you do!

I need not remind the green valley and Sahuarita community that this IS, by far, the best credit union in our community! I’ve been with them for three years now and I don’t plan on ever closing my account with them I’m so thankful for everything they’ve done for my family and i!!! Thanks ASCU!

UPDATE: The owners reply is a lie! I did call the main number to report the issue. They told me to go into the branch and that's when I was told by the Manager Ms. Porras that it was a "computer glitch" that caused the problem. My suggestion is to stay away from this Credit Union. Yesenia Porras "Branch manager" in Sahuarita is the epitome of bad customer service! (she's the woman pictured in the photo). I was a member here for approximately a year. In that time frame they took $400 out of my account that was unexplained by them. Only to say that it was a "computer glitch".. there's no such thing as accountability with American Southwest Credit Union. On another occasion I was called on the phone by one of the tellers there because she apparently lost $100 sometime during the day. During the call she told me it might have been me she gave me the money to during a transaction. Of course the Credit Union is not going to admit fault because then that shows extreme incompetence by their staff. Pima Federal Credit Union is a much better option for banking here in Green Valley.

ASCU is great for business also!! We have our business account through them and they take great care of us. Fast and efficient every time I go in. Love this staff!!

The staff at ASCU in Sahuarita is awesome!! Very professional, quick and efficient. I highly recommend them for your banking needs.

In person, very nice and helpful. online, totally inept. whoever is programming their online system could't find their bellybutton on the dark with both hands!! I'm looking for a better credit union and I already know Saguaro CU is not the one!
