Checkmate, Chula Vista, CA

Came to cash a check that had a small tare when split it off the paystub and they were very rude and not willing to try and cash it when I have been coming here with the same pay check for years. These two lady’s need some help with costumer services it makes the company look wrong !

Great customer service and they make everything really easy. && their hours are really good compared to other loan places in Chula Vista. The only thing i don't like is that every time you call, you stay on hold for like 15-20min, that is a long time to stay on hold for.

Shawnte the manager was so very professional which is a pet peeve for me. She made everything so easy by being very approachable, astute and had product knowlege. Shawnte was very exuded excellent customer service. Her customer service skills were wonderful. My experince with Checkmate was wonderful thanks to Shawnte.

Never go here they are rude and have attitude. District manager is non existant... The lady showed no customer service to me because i didnt speak spanish even though i speak the language. A man came in and she started speaking spanish thinking i didnt understan and prceeded to tell him my business... what type of establishment states if i dont feel comfortable giving you a refund i dont have to its not posted or policy. Western union assured me i can pick up anywhere and she didnt want.to do her job. made a formal complaint to the western union office and coorporate...discrimination and their license is getting pulled...serves them right. I work for public relations... And this place is reported to the better business beareau and the city of chula vista commerce...

Wish there was a negative star! Came in because of good reviews but stood in line for more than 20 mins with only one person ahead of me. The woman working there looked like she did not want to be there and went to the back taking another 10 minutes. The place got full and there were three other people behind me waiting and NO ONE TO BE SEEN. Two employees were clearly in the back talking but wouldnt come out and do their JOB. Please dont waste your time coming. Had to leave and go to another checking place.
