California Check Cashing Stores, Elk Grove, CA

Didn't cash my check because worker just was doubtful about check. Why your last check was 12 hundred and this one double? She asked. And refused to cash it. Don't go there. They don't work right. she was just thinking about every check should be the same, but every job is not the same. Too difficult, maybe, I don't know... disappointment

Today as May 20, 2020 my experience was awful very unpleasant. Arrive at 3:14 and saw a sign close for 10min due to sanitizing that inside please wait.. okay I was there for more than 10min along with 4 more people in line anyways after she finished she took of that sign and walk away I try to open that door but it was lock so we all stayed waiting for her to come back but she never did. (It was a kind of short Mexican girl I forget to look at her name I apologize she had short curly hair and skinny) oh well after 5more min of waiting and we saw that door kind of move a little I guess you can unlocked manually I could of totally appreciated if someone working there could of let us know it was open already. So we open walk in and that lady didn’t even said hi or anything but that’s not all just to make everything better that same lady told me western union wasn’t working to try somewhere else or come another day I might be working.

This is a Check Cashing/Payday Loan/ Western Union business, I was sent money via Western Union I went to California Check Cashing and I was told that because the amount was over 250.00 they would have to issue me a check not having a bank account to cash or deposit this check I asked if I could cash the check with them? since they are a "check cashing" company I was told that they do not carry cash and so no they could not cash the check they where going to issue me...... How does a "check cashing" business not have money to pay out when thats what there in business for... I will not recomend this place. I will not be stepping foot inside any California Check Cashing facility ever again!!!

If you like terrible customer service and employees who don't know how to do their job, this is the perfect place for you! Employees laughing and joking around while their co-worker who's assisting me can't figure how to help me. Shouting instructions to each other instead of, i don't, walking over and helping her out. I was there for 30min total waste of time. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Like the other reviews, the coworkers here are very unprofessional, rude and don’t have customer service skills at all. The teller named Mariana is the worse one, always come up with different reasons to not help, looks like she didn’t even like the job.

Sorry for my late review… well over due… the Ladies at the Elk Grove location is always helpful and kind… would add more stars but only 5 stars available… hands down excellent customer service

This place is awesome ! The best I’ve ever been to ! I will definitely be coming back ! Julia is amazing , her customer service made me feel right at home and at ease knowing I was in good hands :)
