Pennymac, Moorpark, CA

This is a terrible company to work with. They deliberately don't allow split payments online even if they are in advance. To set up auto payments you have to pay a month in advance. Their website sucks is always slow, never works and the only way to make a split payment is to call and wait 30 min at best. I'll never use this company again! They don't want you to make split payments because it's less interest they'll get. They'll tell it's a contract law but they'll do a split payment over the phone. Don't waste your time.

Don’t rush the phone calls. Checked up on me through the whole process. PennyMac is the way to go for any of your needs. I had a FHA Streamline refinance done to my mortgage. PennyMac is very courteous. They show you that that wasn't your business. They refinanced my first home and mortgaged my forever home. They were willing to beat other mortgage companies' closing cost estimates. And I was also able to close a few days early. If I had questions or concerns they were very responsive whether it was email or phone. The PennyMac team is great!

PennyMac and our loan processor, Sarah, were awesome. Sarah went above and beyond all expectations to make sure our refinance went smoothly and answered our questions with clarity and incredible expertise. We received an awesome interest rate and the loan refinance process was incredibly stream lined and quick. Overall, we really appreciated the ease the process took at every step and we strongly recommend using PennyMac.

The professionals at PennyMac work hard to make the mortgage loan experience easy and transparent. They are always available to answer questions and work tirelessly to make sure the customer is informed and up-to-date about the process. This was my third purchase experience with PennyMac and as far as I am concerned, they have a customer for life.

I worked w Mervyn Thomas, he was out to lunch most days. It seemed as if he did not want to close my loan, everything was like pulling teeth and took way too long. I’m not sure if they are overworked or under educated but I would recommend finding someone else to handle a mortgage if you had a choice. My hands were tied as I was assuming a loan and had to use them.

Do whatever you can to avoid using this group for your mortgage. They are slow inconsiderate and have other things to do other than help you.
