I must say, my experience with Oportun (Digit) has been absolutely abysmal. Their customer service is painfully slow, with email responses taking over 24 hours to arrive. I've been trying to close out my account for months now, and every time I send my address verification proof, they come back with yet another requirement that wasn't even mentioned in the original request. It's as if they're intentionally trying to make the process as convoluted and time-consuming as possible. Overall, I would not recommend Oportun to anyone looking for a hassle-free financial service provider. Their lackluster customer service and inefficient processes have made my experience with them a complete nightmare.

STAY AWAY FROM OPORTUN!! THEY ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION IN TEXAS, CALIFORNIA AND NEW YORK STATES FOR FRAUD. they will cheat on you!! Here is how they operate. DO NOT SIGN OR GET ON THE ( HARDSHIP PROGRAM ) ITS A RIP OFF! THEY WILL TAKE PAYMENTS TO PAY INTERESTS BUT THEY WOULD NEVER PAY OR ADD MONEY TO YOUR CAPITAL. THEY WILL NEVER LET YOU LOWER THE AMOUNT THAT YOU OWE. YOU WILL BE PAYING INTEREST ONLY... An update. Be aware when they ask you to say YES. THEY will confuse you with misleading information.then make say YES I AGREE. And that's when they will start charging you interest only. If they lend you 10 thousand with 5 thousand interest. You will be paying interest FIRST and the MONEY they lend you will generating interest. So you will never finish paying. The amount they lend you. If you're confused with this information. Stay away from oportun. (Example) They lend you $7,700 dollars They will give you a contract or agreement That you will pay $300 dollars fee to lend you the $7,700 so you will have to pay back $8,000 dollars for the loan. Plus the 36% interest charge so they will add all together and they will charge you $145 a a month interest included. Then you start paying them. But your balance will not go down. IT WILL GO UP. Because turns out they will charge you interests daily on top of the $145 that you agreed to pay. They charge $ 5 dollars at day as interest. Apart from the $145 you already paying on interests. They wont tell you about the $5 dollars daily charge as interest. Till you are in debt. Yiu will be paying and paying but your balance will keeping going higher. Because of the $5 dls daily interest charges. If you didn't understand what I say. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
