Melissa M was freaking amazing. I literally never write reviews. From the second I walked in, I was greeted warmly. I had been to several different banks that day trying to open an account, and was turned away and made to feel unwelcome at most. I was in a difficult financial situation and extremely stressed out and upset when I went there. Melissa went above and beyond to help me open an account over the course of 2 days. She pulled strings to make it work for me (she literally ran to her manager to catch her before she left to make sure it got done). She was kind and understanding of my situation, explained everything clearly, and worked quickly. The entire staff was friendly. I appreciate the different perks that were offered to better my financial health, which I have never gotten with any other bank. Thank you Sesloc, and thank you Melissa M!!

Use to to be good, but now are completely trash. 14 day waits for checks to clear. Ordered a new debt card 16 weeks ago called after 8 weeks to only find out that they never actually put in the order on week 17 still no debit card.
Mobile check deposits taking 60 days to clear, being told “sorry we’re just a small credit union”
Done with these Hacks.

Today is Love your Credit Union day. Sesloc has advertised Cowboy cookies for people as they come in, individually wrapped.
Anyway, I went in because a news report said my local 7-11 had found a skimmer ... and though I have nothing fishy in my accounts, better to be safe than sorry. Went to see what I could do, change pin? Get a new card? Then how long would I hafta wait? Ug.
Went there, slightly unsure if I needed to get in line, or talk with a guy in a cubicle. A banker walked passed me as I had a deer in headlights look and asked if I needed help, I said yes!
Jared was rather helpful. Even explained how to better my credit. While writing upside down. We went and got a new debit card so skimmers copies won't work. And after their machine not working well... guess it's just Friday morning, and machines doing what they do... I got a new debit card. Not even 30 minutes.
And of course my cowboy chocolate chip cookie! Like dude, thing is a big as my head!
That was fun, thank you!

FTX is a more credible financial institution than this place.
Misplaced funds several times.
Had to wait 6 months for a 400 dollar check to clear.
Over drafted my account several time in one day.
When asked about it manger told me to take down my one star review and the “process would go faster” ( why I’m putting it back up now).
Just not a well ran institution at all.

Total waste of time coming here. I would advise everyone looking for a good bank to look elsewhere so you don’t get disrespected like I was this morning.
Management does it’s best to get you to leave without opening an account with them, told me I owed some other bank a couple hundred bucks (which was a lie, I still bank with said bank and had proof of thousands of dollars in my account which they refused to see) and because of that I could not open an account. The lady helping said the manager usually signs off on these situations so she went to him and he refused to do it. Ridiculous.

We have been members for several years and utilized Sesloc for several loans within that time. They have always had great rates and little to no issues. Shout out to Kenet and Chris who helped us on our most recent loan; they made the process pretty easy for us.

Beware Manipulative Business Practices: I went in for a CD. The teller said, "When the CD is about to mature, we will notify you. You have ten days to respond. If we don't hear from you, the CD will automatically renew."
Fair enough. Except that when I received the form to sign, that wasn't the only choice. You can also have it rolled back into savings. The 'renew' option had been pre-checked by the teller. When I confronted her about this, she said, "I'm sorry. That's just the way we were trained to do it." Of course. The bank wants to keep the money. Best not mention that other option to the customer. Best the bank check the box, rather than the customer.
When I asked the penalty for early withdrawal, I was told, "180 days interest." INTEREST? That's all? That's GREAT! Why, that's not even your money -- it's the bank's!
Well, except it IS your money. You don't get the "interest" until it matures. And "180 days" is meant to muddy the waters -- it sounds like a lot less money than "six months interest". No, what you'll be charged is the equivalent of six months interest from your own money.
Coming from a corporate sales background, I should have seen this coming. SESLOC is just good at selling the 'we're you're friendly neighborhood credit union!' image. Nah. I gave 'em three stars because that's average. And that's what they are -- an average, money-hungry bank, lol.
On the upside, these are very clever sales techniques, and will probably keep them asset rich and stable for many years. ;)

Kelly was SO helpful in handling a joint account issue at the Broad Street SESLOC! We have always had the best service there!!! We also feel very secure at SESLOC and that they have high customer service that soooo many online banks/credit unions don’t! Thank you!
