i called to make a payment waited 15 minutes for them to tell me this isnt the branch i got my loan at, uhhh brooo yes it is i don’t understand why the app doesnt let you add a debit card??? this is 2022 one main get with the program i dont need to wait 4 days for you guys to withdrawl the money from my account i need it withdrawled now

I have been working on my credit for the past two years, trying to repair it from an ex fiance who had opened several accounts in my name and let them go delinquent and to collections. Using Credit Karma, they recommended that I get a personal loan to help consolidate my debt and improve my credit. My first trip into One Main Financial was super easy, super quick and very pleasant. I had been approved originally for 5k but decided for my consolidation I needed only 3k. Well unfortunate events have lead me back to this office to see if I can increase my loan balance. The woman who answered the phone told me that she would need to pull my credit report AGAIN and that I would get a response that day to see if I was eligible. She called me very quickly after to tell me that I did not qualify due to my credit (EVEN THOUGH my credit HAS NOT CHANGED) since my previous loan, but that she maybe able to get me 500$ added to my loan. Well 500$ is 500$ and I need the help so I gave her permission to send my information to underwriting. I then received an email less then 15 minutes later asking for paystubs and references. Good sign right? I emailed this information as well as a request to push my payment that is due on the 7th (application and phone call took place on the 6th) back until Friday because I did not have the money available. I did not receive a call back or email that day. The following day (Today) I receive a phone call with the rep telling me my application was declined due to my credit. I asked her how was it denied if initially I was approved for 5K, and my credit HAS NOT changed. She then placed me on HOLD. She came back on the line to tell me that the reason I was denied was because I did not have enough payments made on my original loan. Customers need to have six payments made to qualify for an addition or change to their loan. Now I do KNOW that when you have your credit report pulled it effects your credit score negatively. I had then asked her if she had moved my loan payment to Friday like my email had requested but she said that it was to late to do this now. When I had asked her why she did not do it when I first asked and she said because she thought the loan would process. SO now not only was I declined my loan, my credit was pulled and score has been effected, but also I have an overdraft fee from my bank. If it was a RULE that loans are not allowed to be changed within the first SIX MONTHS of receiving the loan, then why even run my credit report again? I am very upset, frustrated and extremely disappointed now with this company. I will NOT BE RECOMMENDING THEM TO ANYONE

Waste of time. Applied on a Friday for a loan and was approved for a $12k secured or $8k unsecured loan. After reading horror stories and thinking over the 33% interest rate, opted to pass. Called in following Tuesday for a much lower amount ($4k, unsecured) and the only way they would approve me was if I put my car up as collateral. Took another hard inquiry to my credit and wasted 30 minutes on the phone for no reason. Apparently my credit tanked and my six figure salary became irrelevant over the weekend. Nothing but a bunch of predatory a**holes. Clearly all the reviews were correct

This is the second time I have used One Main. The first time was very smooth and fast. Had money the next day. The second most recent time details were lost in advising what I needed to send or bring in to complete the loan process. This delayed the approval to a day later. One Main did go out of their way to help and try and get what I needed. It's a little more expensive but will definitely help when your in a situation you need a loan especially short term.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Nairy at the Santa Ana One Main office twice ( March & June ) this year - we got along very well and the loan process was well explained and received by yours truly ! My rating would be 4 stars !

Absolutely terrible customer service.. I pre applied on the money lion app. It told be to choose a time and a customer service rep would call me. I choose Monday afternoon after I left work so I could be prepared. Instead Monday morning was harassed with phone calls until I finally answered at lunch. I asked what happened to the time I choose and the lady told me that’s not how it works and I needed to do it now, I don’t know what I’m talking about, then told me those times don’t work for her.. completely rude and desperate.. thanks for scaring me away from this establishment.. I’ll be filing additional complaints as well. Scam vibes

Nahomi Moran of the Santa Ana branch was a true professional. She made the process of getting my loan easy and quickly. She explained the loan in great detail. I could not be happier.. I highly recommend One Main Financial and Nahomi Moran!
