I've always trusted Sooper with my loans and I just recently refinanced both of my vehicles, Jeremy handled the entire process quickly and made it really easy for me. 10/10 will continue to use their services! ASK FOR JEREMY!!!

My experience with Sooper CU was with the handling of a deceased relative I was tasked as the executor of the estate. The close out of the account went pretty well but found out Sooper CU returned the last direct deposit social security payment; which rightfully belonged to the deceased. It has been over one year (5 trips to the SS office) and still working with SS to get it reimbursed due to staff shortage at SS. Horrible decision Sooper CU (even SS stated this was not your job to return!)

I recommend staying away from this bank if you are looking for car loans. I setup payments through "baconpay portal" as instructed when I received my car loan earlier this year. They hit my credit with a 60 past due flag. I called the bank and they stated that the Baconpay portal was actually a 3rd party vendor and not their own website. I setup an online account on their ACTUAL website and immediately paid the past due amount and the next months. There was ZERO notice from either baconpay or Sooper credit Union about any missed payment till after 60 days when they reported it to the credit unions. Sooper does not care when I called to ask about fixing the credit, even though they never reported a problem to me directly, and their "3rd party" vendor did not make the payments as scheduled.

I had gone to this branch five times to speak with a loan officer about paying off a vehicle and i ended up waiting over an hour each time to get any help. When I did get helped no one knows how to do their job. The loan officers do not know how to teller or be a loan officer, the tellers do not know how to teller or assist customers. The worse part is feeling like what I am coming in for I'm being accused of false paperwork that came from this bank, and that I do not know what I am asking for. This is one of the worst banks I have banked with and will no longer bank with them.

My review is specifically how they treat people with medium or low credit, or no credit history at all and not about customer service or the online or phone systems. Customer service is always polite and attempts to help and the phone and online systems are easy enough to use. I have been a Sooper customer for 21 years and each time I've come to this bank for financial help with establishing or working on improving credit they've politely denied me help. They claim to be community focused and eager to help people, but they don't actually do that. If you are looking for a credit union to bank at pick a different one because these people won't help you.

I left any one is hesitant or afraid of getting a HELOC loan, look no further than Brandon at Sooper Credit Union. He is a true professional, dedicated and caring!! He took his time with me, explained everything multiple times in different ways to make sure I understood exactly what I was going to get into when inquiring about a HELOC loan. I’ve never met anyone more dedicated and passionate about their job. I’m passionate about helping people succeed in life and see good things happen to people. His guidance in securing a loan allowed me to paid off my debt, which made my credit skyrocketed. Brandon is a wonderful loan officer I highly recommended!!!
