Great staff and bank !

A check was written to my husband he walks into the bank with his DL teller 1st says they have to call the customer to ask if SHE WROTE the check out to him ok he said I'll call her give me a minute than next teller comes over and informs my husband they only cash checks to members only and only will cash the check if the person that wrote it BANKS AT THEIR LOCATION The worst customer service that this provides not only embarrassing for the person that writes the check out thinking it's all good I than called the Steamboat location and asked if the check could be cashed in Hayden if their customer has an account with them I was informed their policy is to call and verify but yes any location can cash a check Than the lady called the Hayden location and called me back and said even though THEY WOULD VERIFY customer wrote a check out to my husband it has to be cashed where the customer account is at? I told the lady I thought you said any location just with verification I asked her so if a Hayden customer wrote a check to a person and they come into your steamboat location would you cash it? Her reply was we have never had that happen so I don't know? Wow in all these years no one has had rhis happen in the Steamboat location? When people bank here are they informed By the way when you write a check we will call you to verify you wrote it and if your on vacation and don't answer we won't cash it until we track you down? This was very frustrating I write checks out I'm glad I do not go through this. I bank at WellsFargo over 16 years never have I had an issue like this My bank provides me with fraudulent insurance and great customer service !! Now if everyone that banks knows this policy of theirs please don't write checks out knowing you have to be tracked down and it wastes people time
