Academy Bank, Loveland, CO

I use to highly recommend this bank. As of today that changed . They’re just as greedy if not worse than you more reputable Banks. I took out an express loan. Payments have been on time paid a double payment once should’ve paid more monthly. They asked me if I wanted to refinance via phone & during a bank visit. I declined at first concerned that it would affect my credit score as explained it would take 6 points. I missed 2 day’s of work do to being sick. I didn’t use any sick time as I’m saving it for vacation. I went into my branch and decided to refinance and borrow additional money since it was offered. The bank rep didn’t advise me that they were going to charge me $35.00 again said it was a soft credit check contrary to what she said when initially offered. It did take several point’s off. Received a call today that I was denied as my debt to ratio changed . What a disappointment & a joke as nothing has changed other than my car loan has significantly decreased. I now understand why they’ve been closing all over Co. Be careful when applying for a loan . It shouldn’t cost anything. They’re making big money off that too.

Marie went above and beyond with her customer service. I so greatly appreciate her help and appreciate the friendliness of every employee at this branch. Thank you again!!

I've banked with academy since 2007. I like everything about it. I'm a senior customer and I have many perks. Free checks, direct deposit gives immediate access to money. There is an ATM at the site that takes deposits. I can't believe so many bad reviews. I guess every branch is different. The financial backing of this bank is substantial.

Irene helped me do a couple transactions and she is a wonderful employee. Not only does she deserve a very large raise, but a big promotion as well. I will be back here every time to see my favorite employee!
