Alex was extremely careless with a loan pre-approval. He was not rushed, in fact it took him several weeks requesting documentation before getting the pre-approval. Very quickly after that, the home was under contract, the home inspection was done, and paid for. Then the appraisal was paid for, this all adds up to almost $2,000 spent. That is when Alex was told by his underwriter that the loan would not go through. Not because of anything misleading from the buyer, but because Alex made a mistake in his math. To which he apologized and made no further compensation. The buyer lost money, and more importantly in a hot market with interest rates rising rapidly he lost time. All due to Alex’s carelessness and lack of concern and effort. I would not recommend. I also raised my concerns with him over email and was ignored for weeks. Which leads me to this review - to caution others. If he feels like your worthy he might actually work for you. If not he’ll still claim to work for you but you will be very low on his list of priorities. If your deal gets ruined he shows zero concern.

During our refi process, Alex was consistently condescending and unprofessional. Spoke to myself and my wife as if we were below him. Two stars for getting the job done, but that’s being generous considering Alex’s bedside manner. Walked away feeling very disrespected. I get the feeling Alex is accustomed to dealing with the wealthy. We come from lower middle class backgrounds (shouldn’t need someone’s backstory to show common courtesy), and have done well considering. Yet, we were made to feel as if we are failing in his eyes. Had I know his level of disdain for those “below him”, we would have gone elsewhere.

This was my second home purchase with Front Range Lending. Alex and Kris are a great team. They make the mortgage experience straightforward and are always available for questions. Alex calls weekly for updates during the process and really knows his stuff. His communication with my realtor and with the sellers’ realtor made everything go smoothly and efficiently. Alex helped my husband and I refinance our home and kept us very well informed every step of the way, he truly cares about his clients and makes sure they achieve their goal.
