I've been a member of Aventa Credit union ever since I moved to the San Luis Valley in 2016. I've always enjoyed the services that they provide, but was very concerned to hear that the saguache branch - after being closed for nearly two years - is closing again, permanently, in April. I barely even knew it was open after the pandemic and was delighted that finally I could easily access my bank again. I live in the northern end of the valley and making it to crestone or salida just to deposit cash is difficult, especially as gasoline prices seem to soar. I hate to say it but I will have no other choice than to switch to another banking option if the saguache branch is closed. It's been a pleasure doing business with Aventa from day to day banking services to getting my first mortgage. They provide a critical service to a valley that seems to grow in population by the day. To all the Aventa staff members who read this: Thank you for what you do and your services, you a greatly appreciated here in our community!
