Mountain Valley Bank, Steamboat Springs, CO

Opened a “free” account. Didn’t use it for 6 months so they decided to charge me a non usage fee which put my account into the negative. Since I now had a negative account balance they decided to close my account. They did decide to give me my money back but I will no longer be banking with them as it is likely I won’t use the account for 6 months again.

I love my new bank! Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Having two locations is super convenient for me. Working with locals is always my preference.

Absolute worst banking experience I've ever had. This place is run bye a bunch of crooks.

Mountain Valley Bank allowed Moses Mikaelyan to CASH over $39,000.00 checks made out to GOOGLE, that he stole from my business. He just endorsed the checks with his almost illegible scrawled signature and Mountain Valley Bank allowed him to cash them or deposit $39,000+ into his account. How irresponsible is this for any financial institution? Can you find a check on the street and Mountain Valley Bank will allow it to be signed and cashed by anyone? Stay away from this bank, they are completely dishonest and slimy. To verify this just look at the front page of the Steamboat Pilot &Today newspaper of August 11/2023 and read the front page of this newspaper, lower left corner. This is a shady bank that allows this kind of fraudulent practice. Better yet they won't even talk about it to me the person the money was stolen from. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Beware of this bank, they are very careless and sloppy with YOUR money!!
