Amscot - The Money Superstore, Clermont, FL

The lady that we dealt with was a very nice person so this bad review has nothing to do with her. But their advertisement on TV in my opinion is false advertisement. They say no credit checks and they act like you can just walk out with what you need. I was approved for a very low amount that wasn't worth taking and my husband was approved for a little bit more but we wanted to do the installment loan and they weren't willing to do that. I personally think that they do run your credit while you're there. They might do a soft credit check but they obviously check your credit because how else would they determine what they can give you. If you watch their commercial it acts like you just go in. You tell them what you need and they give it to you. In any event they have to do what they have to do and I can certainly understand that. But I do think that they're advertisements on TV should be a little more clear.

I will update this review is I need to. How just spoke to Karen on the phone and she was absolutely awesome in how she help me with all I needed.

First time here and experience was horrible. The line was extremely long. Only two people working at register. Took forever to cash my check because they needed to verify so much and still didn't even cash my check. Wanted to see proof that check was not deposited into my bank account. Supervisor was not helpful and approved the customer service I receieved because she said it was apart of Amscots procedure. I had to drive all the way to my bank to get the check cashed. Ariana was the incompetent supervisor and Heidi was the person that refused to give me my check back. Drive the extra miles to another amscot.

Staff super rude, started to talk Spanish between them pretending customers doesn’t understand what they’re saying, I talked Spanish back at them and then they didn’t even answered my questions, Viviana and her partner, it was the worst service ever. Never go there.

Tina and Louella were amazing. Super fast, extremely friendly service. I accidentally told her 6 payments back instead of 4 and even though she already had the paperwork started she quickly corrected it for me, and did the whole front window with 3 other customers and kept things going smooth.

Fast service. Had no issues getting some paperwork notarized. It was pretty expensive though! $10 per stamp! Yikes! That should be against the law to charge that much for a signature and stamp!

Not friendly. No clear communication, I had to give them all my personal information to cash a money order I had purchased with them. I was not told why or how much the cost would be to cash it.
