This place has improved a LOT since a few years ago.
Everyone is really welcoming and polite I don't feel uncomfortable stopping in at all.
One complaint: The ATM breaks down all the time though

The ATM outside isn't reading bills correctly. The high moisture on the island probably makes it break fast. The inside is a nice place.

It is ludicrous to only accept one type of ID when changing to a married last name on a bank account. My husband had died and I thought it would be easier to handle his affairs if I had both my maiden and married name on my id. I tried to use my social security card, my license had both my maiden and married name on it, my husband's death certificate, which listed me as spouse by name, my voter registration card, my debit card, and Suntrust would not let me wire money for a real estate closing.

Every time you go here, they don't let anyone in the lobby. There's a note on the door that says "lobby closed due to emergency" what a joke.

The worst. Never open. Never staffed. What happened?this use to be the go to bank on Marco. You just lost millions in deposits.

I banked with this branch from 2016-2023 and had an unreasonable number of issues. The employee who originally opened my account for me misspelled my name. My first order of checks was sent to a random address. After the switch from SunTrust to Truist, my debit card stopped working and I wasn’t sent a replacement.
The last straw was when my very active checking account was locked as “dormant” without adequate warning, causing all my bill payments and other transactions for the month to fail — all with no alert from Truist. I spent a stupid amount of time scrambling to avoid late fees and pay those bills with a different account, and no one at this branch could figure out what was going on.
Weeks later I heard from a Truist corporate customer experience representative who explained my account was locked because I hadn’t written/deposited a check or used my debit card in a year. When I pointed out that I do almost all of my banking online and typically had money moving in and out of my account several times a week, the rep explained that Truist doesn’t count online payments and transfers as real activity. She said this is due to a state law; even if that’s true, it doesn’t excuse the lack of proper warning. This is 2023, not 1985; most people do the majority of their banking online. I can’t remember the last time I wrote a check, lol. Also, if this is a Truist policy, why wasn’t anyone at this branch aware of it? I recommend banking elsewhere.
