Amscot - The Money Superstore, New Smyrna Beach, FL

Been dealing with them for many years, always great service. However we hadn't been there in a while, and there are all new associates there. We got a loan that was due on the 15th, but we were out of town dealing with a family emergency; Amscot called me, I explained this, and they set me up to be in to pay tonight (the 17th)at 5pm instead. Easy, right? Not with this new crew. Got back into town very late last night, crashed, only to wake up this morning (again, the 17th) to see my account overdrawn because they went ahead and put my check through anyway despite our agreement. Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated. Edit: So, I went in yesterday (Thursday 18th) to get a loan as I get paid Monday and their mistake cause a domino effect of fees in my account...was told I had to show proof that the check had cleared my bank, because their system showed the check as still pending, which I did, but since the fees from their mistake caused me to be 4 dollars negative I was told they can't give me a loan until 4 days after the checks were sent. Problem was, I had three pending transactions that would hit a 9pm resulting in 3 more fees. I get paid on Mon, so I was just trying to beat the clock. The poor girl behind the counter did everything she could and called everyone short of the Pope and president to try to help me but to no avail. I left and called their 800 number, and after a while on the phone they called their branch to say it was definitely their mistake and they can take care of me. What originally a 2 star review for the initial mistake I have no choice but to move it up due to their 5 star customer service!!

Please update your store hours. It is very inconvenient that the website says Friday hours state that you are open until 10pm at the new smyrna beach location. We showed up at 8:25 and the doors were already locked.

Their extremely professional in the New Smyrna Beach Store!! And have always been very welcoming!!!! Although, there is one Guy that works there, He is always very rush, rush! He is the only one that makes Me feel like I'm doing something wrong by getting a loan! I don't like how unpersonable He is! Other then Him, Their all great!!!!! #lovethatlocation

well I don't want to say anything really bad but they called me and said I qualify for an advance .I explained the documents I had and lady said not a problem come on in.so I did ..it took them 30 min and bunch of paperwork for them to turn me down because my acc # was 2 numbers to long.i did not create that # myself the bank does.anyway I went 5 minutes down the road and another cash advance place did it and gave me a 100$ advance..I think the guy at amscot was just having a bad day and didn't want to do it...I will be recommending to my co-workers to go to the place I went to and NOT amscot

This store does always have great service. I had car trouble there a while back, and I had to wait for AAA, which took hours. They were patient with me, they let me charge my phone and were very nice.
