Amscot - The Money Superstore, Tampa, FL

My 1st time ever walking into Amscot because I needed a document notarized Ms. Lilibeth, probably a supervisor/trainer because she looked like she was training other associates (I might add, teaching poor customer service)... She said the fee $10 needs to be in cash. I said to her "that's weird, why ONLY CASH? in my country the cash goes right into their pocket?" She then told me that I need to "whatch what I say and how I speak to people, why would I put the cash in my pocket?" She was very confrontational and I simply said, "hey, its my 1st time ever walking into this place, I was just curious". I will never go there again she spoke to me like I was a child, Apparently Amscot will cash a check for thousands of dollars, but will not accept a debt card??? That is the policy folks, its how they minimize their risk. Make a note of that. Lilibeth had one opportunity to impress me as current and future customer, but instead made me an example of terrible service for others to see and repeat. I should send Amscot a fee for my service. Because this lady is turning away more customers than you know. She needs retraining to understand what shes forgotten.

Needed a notary fast on a Saturday. Super nice staff that offers a value cost for this type of service. . The only disappointment was they only take cash. How convenient of them to offer ATM services.

The ladies that work there know exactly what they are doing and are efficient at their job. It was an overall pleasant experience when I went there a few weeks ago.

If I could give 0 star I would. I went here to cash a check to move into my apartment. And the clerk seemed to have an attitude with me about it and than refused to cash it. I thought it would be easier to cash it than get the money order rather than making two trips one to the bank and than to here but i havenever has such poor service. I will never return.

Not always pleasant, very few seem happy to work at this particular location. I've had better customer service in other locations but when I need an advance they are happy to give and take.

Every, single time I visit this location, the employees are AMAZING. Everyone is super pleasant, attentive, kind and efficient. The staff at this location have always been tremendously helpful to me. Amscot delivers results and helps a lot of people with their financial needs or even chrisis. This is my favorite location because of that. Shout out to Liz!! Thanks for being awesome sauce!! She makes Amscot look good.
