I run a nonprofit animal rescue and used to bank with SunTrust. I made an appointment on the website to meet with a banker about opening up an account with Truist. I found the website to be very user friendly for scheduling. Not even 10 min after I booked the appointment, Tom from Truist called me to introduce himself. This was such a refreshing and unexpected call but I truly appreciated that. I ended up needing to reschedule due to an emergency on the day of our appointment and Tom was able to get me in last minute. He was professional, friendly and overall made the usually boring experience of opening up an account to be a pleasant one instead. Thanks Tom! I read through the other reviews. Many of these negative ratings were from before BB&T/Truist took over SunTrust. Then you also have a couple of customers who just hate change.

This bank used to be great but ever since it switched to Truist everything went down hill. This goes for all Truist Banks. Especially their online customer support

Dealing w/ loan department is unbelievable. Started the application process, been over three weeks and have not been in contact with anyone. Revisited the branch and the manager said he would get right on it. Our loan originator never returns our calls...
