River City Bank, Blairsville, GA

My husband and I switched to River City Bank because of a few factors. The people there are friendly and very helpful. Katie was very patient while she helped us switch our automatic withdrawals and deposits. River City Bank feels more like a small town bank than the one we previously used. Finally, the location is more convenient for us. My husband and I are extremely happy with our transition to this bank.

We are so glad we moved our accounts to River City Bank. Everything is done in a timely matter and Tammy Collins even saved us some fees. They are just a lovely bunch of down to earth people that always greet you and have a smile on their face. It was disappointing after 20 plus years to switch banks, but the service and personal touch were no longer there. We are looking forward to a long, wonderful relationship with River City Bank!

This bank is all about fees. Fees take priority over customer service. I received a $2500. earnest money check for a property sold by owner, opened a New Account at River City and designated it as a special “escrow account” with plans of converting it to a savings account AFTER CLOSING. The buyers check was declined on grounds of signature discrepancy. River City calls me to explain, so I ask them to hold it and I would call the buyer so they could contact their bank and ask them to put it through. Could have been a very simple and quick fix. After calling the buyer who said they would call their bank and have them to put it through, I then turned around and called River City back to have them process it again, only to find out that they hurried up and returned the check so they could collect a fee of $4 for return check. This caused a lot of red tape and totally unnecessary delay in the overall transaction, which could have been handled rather quickly and professionally by any other bank. So the buyer had to go to their bank as time permitted and do a new signature card and send a new check which was deposited in same account. Then as I was totally dissatisfied with their services, I decided that this was not the bank for me. So I went to close the account which should have been $2500.00, only to have them take one last stab at me as they hit me with another FEE of $10.00 for what they called early withdrawal, leaving $2486. Definitely not the kind of bank we need here in Union County.

My husband and I used River City Bank for our new home construction-to-permanent loan. Any questions we had were answered quickly and concisely. They’re very professional but they also make you feel like you’re family. We highly recommend River City Bank for all of your banking needs!

Wonderful experience opening new accounts at River City Bank. Katie Mashburn was extremely helpful setting everything up and made my side of things super easy. She is extremely professional and also so inviting each time you walk into the bank. Scott has also been extremely helpful in working with us on the loan side.

I have been with the River City since their opening in Blairsville and they have exceeded my expectations of what a local bank should be. From day one when introduced to the staff they knew my name and always extended a warm greeting either in the drive thru or bank. Katie helped find the best accounts for my needs and is always available to answer questions. I spent over 25 years with another local bank and always felt like a stranger. At River City you feel like family. From Eric, Scott, Stephanie and Austin you have people who care. And that is another reason I love this bank. In such a very short time they have become very involved in the community (probably because so many are from this community). I truly feel blessed to be an appreciated customer here.

River City Bank is truly like banking with family. There is just something about the staff that makes you feel right at home. Katie greets you with a smile right at the door. Stephanie is always lovely. Tammy is fantastic. Scott goes above and beyond. Switching from a giant bank where you are just a number is really a no-brainer. I cannot say enough positive things about banking with River City!!
