First Hawaiian Bank Kapaa Branch, Kapaʻa, HI

Only had the account for a month and my money was frozen for no reason over the weekend; then they charged my account what I tried to take out; but never got the funds. The Branch manager is always hiding with the phone in his hands and has No Information about anything. Gather Federal Credit Union is a great bank; has them for 3 years and still with them.

They're ok. I banked there for over a year. Not the friendliest staff in the world but they're not rude either. No banking phone app. You pay extra for online banking. Hours are not convenient if you have a job. Good luck getting there after work but before they close at 4pm on weekdays. They stay open till 6pm on Friday though so that's when it's crazy busy. I closed my First Hawaiian accounts and now I really prefer Central Pacific Bank in Kapaa. They are more inviting and have much better hours, open till 6pm every weekday and even open on Saturday and Sunday until 3pm! Their mobile app is great and you can just photograph your checks and deposit to your account if you cant make it to the bank even! I am happy I made the switch.

Opened an account with Nicole helping me she was super sweet and helpful. There was an IT issue with my age but she let me know when it was fixed and had everything ready for me when I got back to finish. I have severe anxiety but she completely put me at ease.

Nice people and good customer but... The hours are terrible. Theyclose in the middle of the day for lunch apparently and there is usually a long line when they are open. Bank of Hawaii is way better.
