Was fine when I started an account, closing my account is a different story, had them keep charging me when my account was already closed. I even went in person after I moved to a different state to close my account! I signed papers stating I want it closed. They said it was all taken care of, get a letter stating I owed a balance okay fine, I sent a check with a letter stating to close my account. Called a lady she couldn’t even find my account! I don’t even have the cards anymore! I was told it was closed! Today I got letter saying I owe 20 cents! WTH I paid the balance to the cent! We’re did this 20 cents even come from!!! Do not bank with Greater Iowa Credit union they do not respect that you want to close your account because you moved out of state! They will charge you even after your account is closed. I’m sending 20 Pennies in a check with another letter. Stating I want it closed!

I believe the help I get when going into the Greater Iowa is the best. The help is always willing to go the extra for me, I am not a person to get on line banking so love the help I get. always caring and polite.

I have been a member of the Greater Iowa Credit Union for more than 30 years. I have had share accounts, share draft accounts, car and truck loans, and a mortgage loan. I have never had any issues with any financial transactions. All the staff I have dealt with over the years have been extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else.

I use greater iowa in Indianola because that's more convenient. Their debit card machine was down so I drove to 22nd street. The second I said debit card she was already shaking her head no before I finished talking. She told me the machine was jammed and manager wouldn't be back for 1.5 hours. She asked Waukee location they said theirs was down too. I had to drive to 30th street. I walk in here there are 3 tellers doing nothing behind the counter the Teller said if you want to have a seat one of the ladies in the office can help you.one lady is with a customer and the other sees me and hides her head behind the computer and still hasn't helped me. The 3 tellers behind the counter haven't offered to assist me at all.neither have the two in the office. The customer just walked out and she still hasn't acknowledged me. Worst customer service ever. Any Teller in Indianola is able to help me. I'll never come back here again. Ride. How do these people even have a job still.

Ive had nothing but great experiences with Greater Iowa credit union. All the employees have treated me great and with respect. They gave me a loan when I had no credit at all. They are great people all around.

This is by the best bank that I’ve ever felt like a person and not just a number. They are very helpful, friendly and patient. Not just inside the branch but via email as well. It’s like having a personal banker by your side.

The process and getting A car loan was seamless. I will be here now and in the future. For all of my cars and houses, customer service was awesome and Didn't waste any time and we're very polite.
