Used them for a bridge loan. When my credit union sent a pay off for the bridge loan they didnt get it in time so now I have more interest to pay and they reported the late payment to the credit agencies even though they spoke to my credit union about the payoff the day the credit union sent the payoff, so obviously they were going to receive it. They gave the crdit union the info to pay off the loan. They said that the Credit Union that sent the payoff is at fault so they don't need to work with me on the late payoff check even though they will likely receive it within a day or 2. They basically said too bad to sad, you will have extra interest to pay and it will be on your credit. I cant state enough that they were getting a full pay off to the address they asked my credit union to send it to and it was arranged and sent over a week in advance so there was is no good reason to not be patient and to start penalizing the customer. I have had a handful of loans with them over the years but this one will be my last, dont make my mistake. High interest rates, and they dont take care of their customers, go somewhere else and when working with other financial institutions they dont note your account or care if something goes wrong.

Got laid off and struggling to get unemployment claims going due to lack of information from them. Say they will return your call and never do. I called the insurance number in Texas directly and they helped me. They also gave me the number to the complaint line and district rep for the Cedar Rapids location to express my frustration.

Very disappointed in this company. I got the loan to build my credit. I was told by the lady writing my loan that they would report every month to all three credit agencies. They have reported nothing. I have made all payments on time through electronic payment. Have gotten the run around by the office staff, customer service, and there credit disputes department. I did however get a very high interest rate and a loan that doesn’t help my credit. I would not recommend this company. Save some time and money, and don’t go here.

If I could leave zero stars...I would. Jess Palmersheim told me a bold faced in the morning about the terms of my getting a loan. I drove to the car lot, set something up that matched said terms then spent, literally, all day waiting and calling. She knew we were waiting at the car lot and went off to lunch. Meanwhile, we had to cancel appointments and not get a thing accomplished ALL DAY. All this to find out that the terms had changed. Wasted a whole day while putting up with attitude from them. Think I will be putting a call into the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I can think of to report their lies. Don't waste your time...they will just give you the runaround.

Walked into OneMain Financial locsted in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and tried to explain to the loan officer or whatever this financial institution calls them but she was not interested in what i even had to say and was very rude. Yes, I had fill out an application and it was denied. The application was for a business that I was involved in. I was asking for a personal loan when I came in not a business loan. OneMain Financial will never get business from me ever. I even have a 680 credit score and went to a near by credit union and go the loan within 15 minutes.
