EZ Money Check Cashing, Davenport, IA

Update as of feb 2 corporate handled my issues and respectfully explained the situation and how they're bonded by law.... I was told by iowa corporate manager for the problems I have had that couldve been avoided that he is willing to take a discount of the back end of a loan and will update if they don't hold up to their resolution and on my end im now fully aware of where my misunderstanding was

This store saved me from possibly going to jail because I received a check in the mail with a letter stating it was for a mystery shopper job so I thought ok cool I did apply to be a mystery shopper so I took the check here to get it cashed and the lady I dealt with was amazingly sweet to me she took a copy of my license and the check and she went to verify the check and when she came back she said that the bank had closed at 2:30 and it was 4 pm so she promised me that she’d get ahold of the bank ASAP the next day and they’d get ahold of me either way the next day to let me know if the check cleared. So today I hadn’t heard from them so I called them to check on it and they got ahold of the bank it was drawn out of and they said it was DEFINITELY A FRAUDULENT check and the lovely lady highly recommended that I get rid of the check so I didn’t get into any trouble so I ripped the fraudulent check apart and threw it away! I owe everything to these lovely ladies for keeping me out of trouble!!!! I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! IF I COULD ID GIVE 100*!! Thanks so much again for the help!!

The staff that work at this store has always made me feel welcome. Wonderful attitudes. I would recommend this place to all family and friends.

EZ Money in Davenport is the best place due to their employees!! The employees give this company its name and reputation!! They are GREAT at their job and give AMAZING customer service.. Gotta love em!!

Was told I could not cash a personal check from Capital One because "they are closed on Saturdays and Capital One doesn't verify checks" That is a load of bullcrap. Capital one does verify checks, I've had it done numerous times. I was also told that they wouldn't accept a Starbucks gift card, completely unused because it's on their "do not buy" list. Never heard of this bfore, but i will not come back here due to the ridiculous policies.
