Buyer beware before buying anything from this location. I have done business with the Fort Dodge location many times without issue, until now. Our most recent encounter was mortifying to say the least. First, the facility is clean and well organized. Their sale prices in general are fair for products that actually work, and the staff aren't constantly abraisive like many pawn shop employees tend to be. We have gotten many loans without issue. However, the loan amounts were 20% low considering the high end brands and products being used as collateral. We recently purchased a Rockford Fosgate Class D monoblock car amplifier from them. The amplifier was not installed for another two weeks.and it was defective. The $150.00 amp;ifier did not work properly. We returned with our receipt, the sale sticker, and origional product packaging in hand. We explained the problem as a defective product, and we were denied any and all options such as refund, trade, or even store credit. The young male employee was apathetic and calmly condesending. We were told at the tim of purchase that we could return for refund or store credit if there were any problems with the product. When I told the young man what we were told, he advised me that the salesman did not say that, but he was not willing to admit to underhandedly calling both my wife and me liars. He began to raise his voice, and we began to have a much bigger problem. I asked to confirm what I was hearing: So you're telling me that, as a customer, I spent $150.00 on a product that does not work properly, and you are refusing to do ANYTHING about it. So You do not care that you have my cash, and I have a paperweight. He replied with if I had purchased the protection plan then he would exchange or refund it with no questions. Since we had not, we were stuck with the defective (BROKEN) item they sold us. He refused to call his manager or the employee who sold us the product. He refused to anything other that be politely nasty and rip us off. Another employee spoke to my wife and was a really cool guy. We still do not have so much as a store credit for the defective product we pais cash for. I am pretty angry to say the least. Buyer beware of this business.

I haven't been in the store for awhile it looks amazing, very clean and organized!! Walker was the gentleman that helped me and he was very polite and very knowledgeable and got me a great deal. I will definitely be back to see him.

I wish I had known this location is known for doing bad business by selling defective products and refusing to do ANYTHING about it when the customer returns with the item expecting them to make it right. Looking at the other reviews, they are also known for having poor attitudes. I wish I had known this before spending money with them. I wouldn't have purchased anything. Unfortunately, it is too late. My experience was awful, and they do not seem to care. I wanted to post this review to warn all trusting consumers not to trust this business.

Dave at the fort dodge ezpawn is the nicest guy I've met at a pawn shop he goes out of his way to help me out. I would recommend this pawn shop to anyone in this area. Thanks Dave for all the help.

I really have to give EZ Pawn five stars. Super friendly/helpful staff and the store is always clean. The items they have are in really good condition and work extremely well for a great price. This store will forever be my first stop when I’m looking for good quality used items! Thank you again EZ Pawn!!

I went there yesterday they offered me 200 dollars for over a 1000.00 dollars worth of lawn equipment. Today I have made over 500 dollars selling it on FB market place and I still have more to sell. Don't go there you will get ripped off. I think that they are taking advantage of people's misfortune.
