I strongly recommend banking elsewhere in Iowa Falls. I originally setup a checking account 10 years ago with Ackley State Bank (now GNB Bank) and had no problems until a few years ago. First, I noticed some sudden fees being charged to my account. I contacted the bank and the bank manager at the time apologized and settled the issue. A year later, the same fees appeared. By the time I noticed them, I'd been incorrectly charged a good amount of money. I contacted the bank again and the current bank manager (Janelle) was very rude and refused to reimburse the fees. After contacting the bank president/CEO, the fees were reimbursed. Recently, GNB Bank deactivated my online banking because I hadn't "accessed my account in a few months" and began assessing $5 worth of service fees to my account. I contacted this location and again they have refused to reimburse my money. This is the 3rd time in 3 years this bank has tried to charged me off technicalities. I kept the GNB checking account because I liked the convenience of having a familiar bank and checks available, but I'm regretting storing my money at this location now.

I would give 1 star but it won't let me. This institution only cares about money they made thousands off me for years and I get into financial issues due to covid and miss a couple weeks and they cut my service. Now won't open up an account. Do not go thru them.
