Veridian Credit Union, Oelwein, IA

My husband and I have been married for 35 years. Went to Veridian today to cash a check for $200. Since my name wasn't on his account, they would not cash it even though I have an acct. there in my name. Unbelivable!!!! Veridian is not community friendly. Don't hey realize this is a farming community and sometimes it is necessary for farmers wives to do the banking? I could understand if I was trying to take money out. I just wanted to cash a check for god's sake. A small one at that!

As much as I want to give all 5 stars, I cannot. The staff is wonderful and I see them as family and a home away from home. The 3 stars are there because even though you can get approved quickly for the Home Equity Line of Credit, after that it takes a million years to close and receive the funds. My husband and I have cooperated expeditiously with our paperwork in one sitting without fail. I don’t think it’s fair for anyone to wait a million years for funding but are required to produce the required documents for the application process. We are just trying to stay afloat. Gas prices are through the clouds, traveling to and from work is stressful within itself. We shouldn’t have to feel like we are pestering about something that we have been approved for and are in need of. Please find a better and quicker way for us customers to get quicker results. We are really trying out here. Other than that, Veridian is a wonderful place to bank. 💕
