Veridian Credit Union, Waverly, IA

I have 2 soon to be 3 loans with veridian, every single time I had a question or needed help they have been there to help me. They helped me get a car, a HELOC loan to fix up my house and now I'm tranfering a different loan from OneMain who wouldn't even answer the phone or return any calls about my loan. Not only are they taking over the loan, they dropped the Apr by over 10%, made my payment $40 less each month but added in i insurance for the life of the loan in case anything happens to me. I have never once has an issue with Veridian and recommend anyone looking for a loan (even with not the best credit) go to Ceridian first. They are polite, responsive, and wonderful to work with. I love banking with them and have been for over 2 years now. They even have a 15 day Grace period that you can be late with a payment with out getting any fees, which is so nice for someone like me who gets paid ever 2 weeks. Wonderful bank and people!!!!

Veridian CU is a terrible institution to bank with. I lost my job and missed a few payments on my credit card. When their collections started calling me, i told them "as soon as my tax return came into their institution, i have full intentions of paying what im deliquent on and then some" Flash forward 3 weeks when veridian closed out my account the day before my tax return came in. Now another 5 weeks of waiting. Oh yeah and i had an account with this institution for over 17 years and they decided to close my account after 3 months of missed payments while i got on my feet after losing my job. Tl;dr there are better financial institutes in northeastern iowa to bank with, these money sharks have no loyalty and will screw you eventually.

Delayed closing by 2 weeks due to not knowing how to fill out paperwork. Did not respond to insurance and then force me to buy theirs. Random escrow charges that no one there can explain.

After 50 years in Iowa, they are the best ' bank' -credit union we have found. No hidden fees and everyone is friendly and professional.

Today my husband was not able to get tax information from our account. He always could before for many years. Dzeneta had such an awful attitude when asking questions about this. Her attitude makes you want to change banks. Been members for over 18 years.

In and out in under 5 minutes that required an in person meeting to start a new account process. Talk about efficiency.
