I cannot say enough about my experiences with Pioneer Federal Credit Union in Hailey, Idaho. When COVID hit, the management went right to work uploading a virtual assistant to handle the majority of drive through customers and to make appointments for those people who had to handle their banking face to face. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Ivy Sherburne, Branch Manager, at this Hailey branch. Ivy was so helpful, diligent, and efficient, my loan was completed with ease within days of my application. Ivy made the experience pleasurable.

I will never deal with PFCU again. For the most part everything was pretty straightforward with a big catch. After I paid off my vehicle loan, I only had a small balance left in the savings account. I had no other accounts or products. I kind of forgot about the account, but wanted to keep it for ATM use when I was traveling on the western side of the state. Without any kind of notice (except the fine print of the terms), after six months they started taking $5 out of my account each month for "inactivity." What costs are involved in maintaining a small savings account for a member? This equates to something like 1200X the interest they are paying (currently at .05%). The days of forgetting about an account and being surprised years later by the power of compounding interest are over. I've attached the letter I sent for entertainment.

Wes is a remote teller at P.F.C.U. I had the pleasure of him assisting me via the ATM. What a nice guy, my tips were deposited very quickly as well as a minor snafu resolved. I have been using this bank for over 7 years now and I have been very pleased with all the tellers and my banking in general. Thanks for your help Wes!

In store the customer service is great, but trying to get support over the phone is just a mess if redirects, holds, and automated responses. You should always be able to get ahold of your bank when you need it, but you can’t.

My husband suggested that I go to Pioneer for a new car loan. I applied online on Tuesday and was contacted and approved by Stephanie by the end of that day! Awesome loan great interest rate and awesome customer service by Stephanie and branch manager Ivy for signing! Never going anywhere else for a car loan again!
