I’ve only been banking with this facility for a little over two years. My wife has been with them for over 10 years. Recently we have been going through a financial hardship, as most of us do. When we contacted Staley to let them know we would be a little bit late on making our car payment my wife was told “you have until 26 days past the due date of your car payment to pay or we will pay off the remainder of the loan and remove the vehicle from your possession.” This was told to us by Joanie Dixon. My wife and I were absolutely floored that someone could be so cruel. At day 24 past the due date my wife managed to come up with what we could for the payment, we were only $7 short. The kind teller told her she would let Joanie know we were doing what we could to make the payments. However, Joanie called, emailed, sent letters in the mail, and absolutely harassed my wife over the $7. My wife is only ONE payment from paying the vehicle off. Mind you, we thoroughly explained to Joanie that I am a recently separated veteran and we just had a baby right before my separation. So we have been strapped for money with only one income right now. My wife poured her heart out to Joanie Dixon and was still told if she didn’t pay the $7 our only vehicle would be taken away from us. These people are not kind, they are not understanding, and they do not care about you only the fact that they can and will do everything to squeeze every single dollar from you.

I'd rate this place 0 stars if I could. I've had an account and loans through this credit union for 10 years with 2 different vehicles, and have never been late on a payment. Recently my family and I have been going through an extremely difficult and financially draining situation. I contacted staley cu to let them know I would be a little late on my payment. I came in on day 24 past my due date (so not even a month) and put $220 towards my payment, mind you, my payment was only $7 short of my actual payment. The kind teller told me she would let Joanie Dixon know of my situation and that I should be alright. Nope. Joanie called, emailed, and left me a voicemail that if I didn't pay my remaining $7 that the credit union would pay off the remaining balance of my car and take it from me! ($229.00 is all I owe now before owning my car) They would really rob you of your only vehicle over $7. It's honestly disgusting and disheartening that people could be so cruel to others in a rough time. I've always pain my payments on time until these recent events and they have absolutely zero empathy. Don't bank here or get loans here, they're just looking at you as a cash cow not a human being.

I dislike that they hold the ENTIRE amount of a check that is large for 10 business days. SOME of it should be available within a day or two you would think. No wonder people of the world one day will not have banks and will be using decentralized banking. Not only that I opted OUT of overdraft protection and they then automatically put me on their enhanced overdraft protection program and they let a check bounce that was $100 when I had funds over $10k being held, they took the $100 draft out of the share account, charged the $27 NSF fee, returned the check, told me the check could then be re-submitted and cause more fees even though the 100 share account charge was debited and all while they hold thousands of dollars of a deposit for 10 full days not releasing a single red cent I have a very large amout being held unnecessarily. They also unnecessarily hold other deposits. I switch to SoFi and I've already earned $10 in rewards and I'm earning 2.5% interest and got a $300 bonus for setting up direct deposits in the 1st 30 days. SoFi also pays me rewards just for my credit score going up. I now get all of my deposits immediately and get my paychecks early, as soon as SoFi gets the deposit. Whereas this bank would hold everything. I'm new to the area and it seems as if credit unions are mostly what is here, I obviously chose the wrong one. I've banked with other banks and never had as many issues. Their app constantly crashes. The only thing positive to say is that the customer service is nice. There is no benefit in my opinion of a credit union vs big bank. At least a big bank has modern conveniences and debit cards that are more sturdy.

I purchased a camper from member of Staley Credit Union. The loan to the credit union was paid off. Staley Credit Union would not release the title. It is no longer their title to hold. Ridiculous policy. Terrible customer service.

Wonderful bank. I was able to set up my account same day and the customer service was phenomenal. I left CEFCU for this bank. They inform you of correct information and walk you through processes and make sure you understand them.
