Old Second National Bank - Elburn, Elburn, IL

Called and made a lobby appointment to have our children make their first deposit of hard earned money into their account. After changing around everybody's schedules to give the kids this whole banking experience, we got turned away at the door by a very smug teller. They are a local bank but they definitely didn't treat us like it. Disappointed. Cannot recommend due to customer service, especially for children's accounts. Complete let down. I've seen 3 individuals go in the lobby in the last 5 minutes while waiting here, 2 without appointments...

My online banking profile was recently attacked. I went to my bank, Old Second, and Kat Boehmer saved the day! Kat is assistant branch manager in Elburn. She was professional, kind, and incredibly helpful. She calmly walked me through what I needed to do to protect myself and my account, never once making me feel stupid for having fallen for such an evil scam. As I was quite shaken, I so appreciated Kat’s calm and helpful demeanor! I am feeling SO grateful for my small town bank and the lovely people who work there.
