Fifth Third Bank & ATM, Freeport, IL

If I could give them zero stars I would. They will close your account after thirty days of inactivity even if it’s out of your control and then request you be there in person to reopen the account even though you have been with them for years and live out of state. Staff are never friendly and could care less about the customers. I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone.

Nice people but this branch does not have a working coin counter...To count and deposit coins you need to go to a branch that’s open Mon-Fri 9:00 to 5:00.

Not very empathetic or nice when engaging in a conversation regarding their policies. Should show a little more compassion for the local citizens they represent.

They are extremely slow and they can never find the bank bags. Every time i ask for change out of 20's i always get no 1's and they give me 20's back.

A shared acct with my daughter and a check in both of our names brought me to this branch today. Wow. Condescension was overwhelming. I felt judged and belittled. Wasn't sure why. They would not cash or deposit the check and blamed the payer. I found out later, it absolutely should've been. I noticed their reviews are not glowing. Now I know why.

I been with fifth third since I was in highschool they use to be a good bank now I'm almost 30 in fifth third has become a horrible bank the last 5 times money has been transferred out my account without my consent from people commiting fraud and the bank has done nothing to help the last 5 times And now it happen again the bank sat there and let foreigner from another country take 100 out my account and fifth third has done nothing to help me they basically taking the foreigner words over mines Now I'm in the negative I am closing this bank that support fraud dont do business with this bank. Then everytime my job pays me fifth third bank want to know where I get my money from but won't handle fraudulent activities. I highly do not recommend all fifth third banks

I got a cashier's check from someone who banks there I called this bank they told me it was good so I deposited it and now my account is overdrawn so I called them again and they are still saying there's enough money in the account! So why didn't the check go through! Cost me almost 500 for lies
