Peoples State Bank, Newton, IL

Having moved to Newton, IL from a big city on the Wesy Coast, I have found People's State Bank to be wonderful team of people who successfully merge big city professionalism with a friendly, small town atmosphere. They have not only helped my family personally with banking and insurance skillfully, but with my small business needs as well. I know that whenever I enter PSB, or go through the drive up, I will encounter a friendly face who is eager and equipped to help me. They are 5 stars in my book!

I am a business owner, a resident, and the mayor of Newton. I use the Peoples State Bank in all three capacities. Over the past 40 years, I've found the bank staff to be professional, efficient, accommodating, friendly and courteous. They are truly community-minded and supportive of all things positive. Bravo!

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences here for the past here. I’ve had to ask for multiple new debit cards because every card I get sent doesn’t work (the chip). I’ve also had to deal with a loan recently that didn’t get put in my account and my checking is now overdrawn. I asked to talk to someone about it and Cynda said it was all my fault. It’s safe to say that when I get this loan paid off, I will be switching banks and maybe I’ll have a better experience.

My all time favorite bank!! Dusty is super helpful and a wonderful guy!! Would 100% recommend anyone there!!!

These people are awful. The staff is rude .. their banking is antiquated. I would never suggest them to a friend or family member.
