OneMain Financial, Oak Park, IL

If I could give this company a 0, I would! Initially, when I was contacting OMF, the staff was very helpful. Clearly they were being nice, as they wanted my business as a customer. After some time, I would have to call with inquiries about payment, balances etc. After I loaned with them, it seemed as if their customer service became terrible! I’ve been told several times, “ I’ll look into this and call you back.” Of course the call backs didn’t happen, I had to call back several time because they dropped the ball. The staff, even the Store Manager John, is completely unprofessional. I’ve wasted a lot of time in arguments, because they lack customer service & professional skills. The staff & John spoke as if I (customer) was expendable. However, OMF and their employees are expendable. In addition to this Google Review, I posted information on social media as well. Time to hit companies where it hurts, their pockets! Thank goodness for reviews- saves people time & energy.There are many competitors in the loan industry. The way they treat and talk to their customers is ridiculous. Please research other loan companies: Rise, Opportunity Loans or Avant. Their customer service is much better and their staff is professional.

The only professional person working for this financial office is the branch manager which is only available when you apply for a loan. The customer service from Veronica and Luis is very poor specially in communication skills and taking messages for Jonathan Gonzalez. Application process is long and they asked for personal references but never call them till you fall back on your payments. A well organized company will check reference first and we ask the people we want to add them and let them know they calling to check reference cause I put application for loan and they never do. Then you get Veronica and Luis blow up your phone with calls 24/7 and they don't let you talk or listen to you as a their customer. I really regret going here. My parents recommend onemain I went to the wrong location for better service try Lakeview on Lincoln Ave.

I really like their customer service when you don't have a perfect score they still help you out this is the second loan I've gotten from them I really love OneMain and yes I will do it again thank you so much

Respectful, responsive, pleasant to work with. Inquired and received funds next day. Fast and Easy! Created an account online for checking balances and self-service, etc. Setup pmt on semi-monthly autopay and payments take care of themselves. Haven't had to call them for anything. After 2 years of perfect payments they offered a credit card with attractive line and great rate. Thank you Marco and Oak Park, IL Branch.

Everyone was thoughtful and thorough. No false promises. I enjoyed doing business with the Oak Park Branch.
