Allied First Bank, Oswego, IL

I had an overwhelmingly posting experience working with Joe Van Abel from Allied First bank. I was a first time homebuyer using my VA loan and I am grateful for connecting with them as my Mortgage Loan Originator to help facilitate the home buying process. Joe was exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and provided excellent customer service. Not to mention he was able to lock me in at a very competitive rate. I can’t recommend him enough to fellow VA loan users or anyone looking to purchase a home for the first time.

I want to put a review about Allied first bank. They came to me informing me that they could help me on a loan. I told them that I didn't need one. After talking to the sales person, he convinced me that he had a better deal to offer me. After going through all the perfect paperwork and getting all the inspections and appraisals done, allied first Bank was not able to deliver on their promises. They weren't even close to what they said they were going to help me with. Since they were not able to help me like they promised. I informed them that I was not going to move forward with the loan. Now I have all these fees that I have to pay that the sales person told me I did not have to pay. I called Allied first bank and asked to speak someone about these fees. They told me that since I did not go along with the loan I had to pay the fees. I informed them that the sales person told me that I did not have to pay those fees. Come to find out the sales person that was helping me, walked out of their company and no longer works there. That says a lot about the representatives that work at their company. Knowing these facts, Allied Bank still wants me to pay the fees. I want people to know that they pray on veterans and make promises that they can't deliver and then expect you to pay fees. I want to let people know my experience and hope that they don't make the same mistake that I did.......I wish I would have saw all these bad reviews before I had worked with them. They did the same thing to me that they did to other veterans.

I have had the pleasure to work with Bradley Scott Hyatt on more than one occasion in refinancing my home,Mr. Hyatt has always gone the extra mile in making sure you fully understand all your options and which would be in your best interest. My husband and I received a letter and we’re connected with Wesley Goodman back in January 2022 about refinancing our VA Loan. We went through the process which was initially quick however since we signed the notary documents, I have left Wes countless voicemails and emails and all have gone unanswered. Do not use this company. I have requested to speak to a supervisor and also not received anything in response.

This has been the worse bank I have ever encountered. I wouldn't even give them a single star if I had the opportunity. Poor communication, inadequate solutions, poor customer service. It also has been extremely difficult to get someone to even assess my problem, because I can not get in contact with no one. I have been trying to close a mortgage loan for 3 full months and they keep pushing it back without indication of when we would ever be able to close. 10/10 do not recommend this bank save yourself the time and hassle!
