Community First Bank, Shiloh Township, IL

Refused to cash third party check when we had IDs available and an account set up through my mom. Called over the phone after the teller had refused us and they told me they could cash it if they felt it wasn’t fraud but the teller just brushed us off. Felt very disrespected. Will not be going through Mt Vernon branch again.

Awesome bank! There's two branches in Mt. Vernon, which makes it convenient being on both ends of town. Drive thru opens at 730 am on Monday thru Friday, 800 am on Saturday. ATM at both locations too. If you lose, have a damaged ATM card they can make a new one on site (which most banks can't do).

Absolutely the easiest I could have hoped for. Maggie helped me set up my first bank account no problem! The building, and environment is super friendly. 10/10 Would recommend!

I brought my son here to cash in his piggy bank. The lady (I believe her name was Angel?) Walked us through every step of the way, was patient enough to listen to everything he was going to buy with his newly acquired $30, and even let us go back and look at the machine that sorts the coins. Then she insisted he take two suckers, one for now and one for later. I've been a member of this bank ever since I got my first job, and this branch in particular has always had the best staff. I go out of my way to come to this location and am always rewarded for it.
