Edited: I was initially going to remove this review but felt it more fitting to give an update and adjust the rating accordingly. I received a call from Kim (I believe she stated her position as the branch manager) shortly after leaving the original review. She informed me she had reviewed the incident, an investigation had been conducted, and the check should have been able to be cashed. Additionally, she had went over the procedure with employees to avoid similar issues in the future. Kim offered what I felt was a sincere apology for the issue. I am impressed with the attention given to what could have easily been ignored and feel the situation has been rectified in a satisfactory manner. My thanks and appreciation to Kim for taking the time to address my concerns and handling the issue with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. Came to this location with a rebate check from my pets flea medication. Once I sent the rebate check through to them they had it all of five minutes before sending it back and telling me there was no way for them to cash the check. It wasn't a conventional check (I had printed it out from an email) I'll give them that. I wouldn't even be writing this review but for three factors. It wasn't for thousands or even hundreds of dollars, it was a thirty dollar refund. Two, I have held accounts, always in good standing, with First for many many years. And finally, the main reason... after being told there was "no way for us to cast this check", I went to the location on Highway 40 by Walmart where they had it taken care of and the money in my pocket on under ten minutes. In short, it you need something simple and non- complex handled, this branch may be of service to you. But if your request requires them to do any additional work/put out any effort above the bare minimum you would likely be better off taking your needs elsewhere.

Have banked with them for over 20 years and always satisfied with the work they do. Majority of my past loans were also through them. Always thorough , helpful, patient, and polite
