I banked with Lafayette Savings for 23 yrs and loved them. Once Old National Bank bought them out I had to finally change, their customer service is terrible. They treat you as a number not as human beings. Every time I had a question they blame it on their corporate office and they have no way of handling the issues/ charges in question. I finally had enough of all their outlandish fees for my checking and savings and took my business over to Huntington. I can tell you I have been with Huntington for over a year and couldn't be happier with their customer service and NO fees! Sad that the corporate companies don't understand their greed will get them no where but bankrupt. Stay clear of Old National Bank and go with those companies that care. All five in my family and several co-workers at our big University has also changed to other banks after Old National took over, it's only a matter of time before they go out of business in our smaller cities.

DO NOT GET A MORTGAGE/REFINANCE THROUGH OLD NATIONAL! I give a 1 star because SHEILA RANDALL in the mortgage department is a JOKE! I went to get info on refinancing my house and specifically asked her if it put an inquiry on my credit report. She assured me that it did NOT! But it did! I called to have her dispute it (my aunt that works at another bank said Sheila could contact the right person to get them removed) when I called Sheila & asked her about it she "didn't recall the conversation" & was extremely rude, unprofessional & literally hung up on me while I was in mid sentence. She should NOT be in customer service! Especially dealing with peoples mortgages!

I banked with LSB for over 25 years before ONB purchased them. I would have left LSB due to their customer service but it was such a hassle to switch banks and update automatic payments. So, I just dredged along. I assumed that my ONB experience would be the same as I saw them as a big bank.
I was so wrong! ONB has some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. They are friendly, helpful, and remember your name. They are far from the big bank experience I thought I would have.
They do offer big bank services but have a tremendously local and people-first feel. I highly recommend stopping in to see Amber at the West side location.

Amber Holle, and so many other wonderful staff at Old National Bank! They truly care about the relationships with their clients! I highly recommend Old National!
