We worked with Robert Biehl recently to purchase a new home. This is our second time purchasing a home, but first time using Bison State Bank. With it being a competitive offer situation, we offered a two and a half week closing to the seller, and hoped that Bison State Bank would be able to deliver on that... and they did! They made the process so easy, and we met the quick closing timeframe with no trouble thanks to Robert and team.
Robert kept in close communication throughout the whole process, and we felt comfortable every step of the way. Plus, he got us an awesome rate that was far lower than we found anywhere else!
We had such a great overall experience and would highly recommend their mortgage services!

I had fantastic experiences with bison state bank doing loan transactions and mortgages from out of state. I will be using them again in the future. Their rates are very competitive in todays market. They are quick and responsive.

I will start off by saying that this bank did get my mortgage to close and it was a difficult transaction, BUT at a significantly high cost to both finances and personal stress amongst my wife and I (the buyers), both realtors and the sellers.
The loan processor, Catherine, was beyond useless and refused to communicate with both my realtor and myself on receiving updates and working through the issues.
There constant communication issues and it would, sometimes, take days to get a response back from the bank on what was needed or where the status of the loan was. This bank needs to understand that home purchasing has unique time constraints and constant communication is required for a transaction to be successful
The bank was over 2 weeks late on my closing and we almost lost the house if it wasn't for the realtors convincing the sellers to hold on just a little longer.
The bank changed the requirements on my loan 3 different times which cost me thousands to get the loan to close. They kept blaming the investor, but they should have their requirements in order and I would never expect massive requirements changes when finances and loan terms on my side did not change even in the slightest.
As for the rate, they were very competitive and that's the reason I went with them, but I would steer well clear of this bank if I was you as they caused everyone on the transaction immense stress and frustration!! Do yourself a favor and use a local lender that understands the unique nature of your area in which you are buying!

Chris Jumps and his team vastly exceeded expectations. They were there every step of the way with answers to questions and a great rate when rates were rising. Could not recommend them enough. 10 stars.

I just refinanced this year with Mark elston and also made our first home purchase last year with Mark as well. He was great to work with and had no problem answering any questions I had. He made sure everything very simple for us and got things taken care of in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Mark Elston and his team!
