Lyon County State Bank, Emporia, KS

I haven't had good experiences with them (it's not the people that work there it's the corporate and the way they run the place) had the last straw with all the unnecessary service fees and charges. Went in one day to get financing to by a house, got rejected, the next day another bank accepted me with a credit score over 750. Closed my account and will not be going back, EVER!

I have been to a few banks here in Emporia. Lyon County State Bank is by far the best! Everyone there is totally accommodating and very polite and professional. They always have gone above and beyond to help in anyway they can. Best bank in Emporia. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I have always had great experiences with tellers, the loan department, and Brandee Ball. Tellers are always patient with me, helping me when I have questions or concerns, and providing deposit slips because I never have them lol. When there are issues or discrepancies with my checking or mortgage accounts, the problems are always fixed within 24hrs and a phone call comes letting me know that it has been fixed etc. This is my favorite branch of LCSB ☺️

The person in front of me has waited for 17 minutes and as I am behind them. I am getting concerned. If I order pizza should I have it delivered to the bank? It was 13 minutes after 5 I got in line and as I am writing this it is 5:38. The person in front just got their work finished. 5:38.

This is the worst bank emporia has. First of all, it takes about 10 calls before someone actually picks up the phone. Second, they keep putting random fees and charges in my account that I was never aware of. They started after their "transition" (transition to a crappy bank). Third, they are rude and continually put people on hold while they "look stuff up" and literally pick the phone back up 5 seconds later. That shows that they just don't want to be on the phone with you. It takes them days to get back to me about important problems. This bank has the worst customer service I've ever had ANYWHERE! I'm switch to a different bank, as many people have! This bank won't be around much longer if they don't do something different.

Tellers are nice and helpful even if you're not a current customer of their bank. I was shocked about the third time I entered the bank to cash a paycheck they greeted me by name and I'm not even a customer of the bank. Spoiler most Fridays when I go to cash my paycheck they also have popcorn freshly popped that they offer to their customers.
