My husband and I have done business with First Financial through several loans. Granted, the interest rate is high, but it's comforting to know that if you get in a bind, you can borrow money fairly easily from them. I came into some money and paid off the last loan early, therefore saving all that interest I would have been paying. Even if you pay $10 more a month, it can help you pay your loan off early. The staff is very friendly and even understanding if you need to be a little late with your payment....just call them and let them know. We have never had a problem with them.

I shopped around a few places before coming here. They were willing to give me a chance when no one else would. I was given all the information up front, including the higher interest rates (to be expected for my credit situation) and was given the chance to review and think about the long term effects. It was MY choice to accept the terms. I have been pleased with the conversations I have had with them, and they have been more than willing to work with me thus far. The only reason for the 4 stars, is I wish there were options to pay online or Card by phone. So far I am pleased!

Taking a loan from these people was a bad decision. They took advantage of the fact that I was in dire straights, and charged crazy interest on a $1200 loan. You have til the 5th with the grace period, but if you don't pay on the 1st they will not only call, but text and creepily stalk, find, and message you on Facebook. When you hear about predatory lending, they are talking about places like this. Don't do it.

EASILY the worst mistake of my entire life. An absolute nightmare. The epitome of predatory business practices. Granted, I signed the contract and I agreed to the 24% (highest legal interest rate in KY) but I did not expect just HOW BAD it would get. So I owned my car for about a year before it got repossessed. I had moved out of state and was having a hard time finding a job since I had lost my ID and didn't have the necessary documents to get a new one made. They stalked my FB to come find my car. I took my boyfriend to the ER, walked out, it was gone. But it WAS my fault. However, fast forward 2 years later, and I am STILL paying the price. The car loan was around $6,000, which, with the interest rate, blew up into $10,000. Since I could not afford a lawyer when they took me to court, they started garnishing my wages. Not ONLY did I have to pay what I still owed on the car, but WELL OVER $5,000 of legal fees. Think the 25% interest rate was enough? Think again. A month ago I was informed that they have been charging me two dollars of interest for the past TWO YEARS. That was nowhere in the cobtract!!! After one year of struggling to get by due to 20% of my check being garnished every week, and $11k later, I thought it was FINALLY done! Nope. Still $1300 to go. So a few days ago, I did the math and figured that I was around $300 away from finally being done. I call them today and was informed that I STILL OWE $900?!?! Obviously, I was outraged! The lady's response? "That's what happens when you don't pay your bills."
Do NOT get a loan from here. You WILL regret it!!!

I've been with First Financial for several years now, with various loans and I must say they are excellent to work with. Never in the 4 years I've dealt with them have I had any kind of issue. Very friendly and efficient...
