OneMain Financial, Frankfort, KY

Beware applying online. I am on Disability and was looking for a debt consolidation loan. CreditKarma recommended OneMain with "Excellent Approval Odds". I thought I was applying to prequalify but they ran my credit and added a hard pull on my credit profile. This is partially my fault for not reading all the fine print. I was then informed I was qualified for (of course "up to") $1500 unsecured or $13500 secured but had to actually talk to someone at one of their offices to get final amounts and details. After talking with someone the next day who was nice enough and taking my info to "see what they could do for me" was told they would call me back. Then talking to her again a couple of days later, because I wasn't available the next day (not their fault) I was rather tersley told "Unless you can get someone to apply with you you don't qualify on your income.". Without even "Sorry we couldn't help you.". This issue of my income should have been flagged in a prequalifing stage not after they had already put a hard credit pull on my credit report.

Great people very easy to work with and understanding. Would recommend highly.

The staff was very polite, helpful, and professional. Borrowing money can usually be a stressful and embarrassing experience, but the staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They take the time to make sure you understand everything on the contract, you are signing. They also work with you to fit your budget, and continue to work with you during the remainder of the partnership/contract length. I want to thank the staff, at my local OMF Branch, for all that they do for me.
