Peoples Exchange Bank, Mount Sterling, KY

I just went to peoples bank to open a business and personal account. I’m new to area and opening my first shop. I noticed the “no hoodie, hat or sunglasses” sign on the front door. I’ve seen on tv where businesses do that just for racial profiling. I saw two older white men with hats and hoodies walk in and I followed. They didn’t say anything to them about attire but looked at me in an unfriendly way. Maybe my rainbow hair was not appreciated but I’ve never been to a bank where people were not immediately warm and welcoming. I said hello. The teller said, “Who are you?” I was the only one wearing a mask so repeated louder “Hello!” She said “oh, what do you want?” I told her to open a business account and a personal account. She asked if I had my EIN paperwork. I told her that I did not. I had forgotten it but instead of helping me start a personal account she just said she couldn’t help me without my paperwork and dismissed me. I was a little shell shocked at how rude she was to me and just walked out. I hope the next bank in this beautiful little town is nicer.

Best bank in mt.sterling. if I have 10k in a checking account u can get 3% interest here. Which makes u apx. 25 per month by just having a checking account

Polite friendly prompt and professional. Went out of her way to accommodate me. So glad I decided to trust them with my money.

Staff isn't knowledgeable about customers accounts.
