CheckSmart, Newport, KY

I am putting a WARNING out to anyone who uses these establishments. Not so much for loans but those of you that cash your checks there. This one in Newport Ky in particular. My husband recently went there to simply cash his check because he started a new job and his direct deposit has not started yet. So his first check was a paper check. Rather than spend the high fees at banks to cash it he went there. Well it ended up costing more + some. After paying our bills (which is why we cashed the check out in the first place) and fixing our car (which was down for a month). We find out that one of the $100 bills was counterfeit. Of course they are denying it courthouse and police stations were no help so now we are not only out the $150 bucks ( the amount they charged to cash) but they are clearly sweeping under the rug that counterfeit money is being passed thru their establishment * I will end with this question: Where would I go to purchase something in which I would receive $100 bill as change unless I was in fact cashing my payroll check? Very frustrated EX-customer: never for any reason would I deal with them again. And I will never stop telling people to not give them their business Please pass this this to anyone you can

Girlfriend got a loan here, I used my bank card to pay back her loan one time and they started auto charging it without consent. She called multiple times to ensure the card was removed from her account and they told her it was. Here I am today, my card was charged yet again without my permission.
