Main Street Bank in Ayer is the best! I have been going to the Ayer branch for years and every experience has been great. All the staff is friendly and helpful from the moment I walk in. I am big fan of online banking (and online everything) - but also recognized that a local bank is nice to have for when you need a bank check, notary or some other service. What I never thought about, or realized, is how nice and useful it is to know someone within the bank who can help you do all kinds of things.
