I went today to open a new checking account. I cannot believe in 2021 that you could still receive this level of attentive service; especially in the banking world. I left my horrible big bank named after the country I live in and went with a local bank.
Amazing is the only word. I was helped by Jannette Rivera at the Framingham Branch, who is the type of rare individual where "getting to yes" is all she is interested in. The words "no", "sorry", or "sadly" are not in her lexicon. (Or that of any of my previous dealings with Mutual One).
She patiently walked me through the application, even helping me download and register for the app, waited while it loaded, helped me navigate the portal, deposit my money, ect. Jannette then gave me the best time to reach her before Christmas ( I opened the account on Dec 22nd) and her direct line if I had questions.
I left so confident that I was with the right bank, the right people and a small local banking experience that makes my "BOA-Restrictor" of a previous bank a bitter, but distant memory.
