My family is selling our home to move across the country and our buyer used this company. About a week before settlement we received an email that stated the loan officer did not do a thorough enough check and failed to see that the buyer had unpaid taxes even though they were pre-approved. What kind of loan company approves an individual for a federal housing loan and doesn’t do their IRS research? I spoke with our former lender for this home and he ALWAYS checks for any tax delinquency, child support, or alimony issues. Needless to say we are still waiting on an official document of withdrawal of contract from this company. In the meantime, our house sits not listed in the housing market but not “sold” either. We also missed out on 6 weeks of potential buyers. They are neglectful and unprofessional. I now had additional finances that I need to front such as additional storage time for our POD, more mortgage payments on this home, etc. Our family will be reaching out to the CEO as well as the Better Business Bureau. Scott Phillips, My real estate agent has reached out numerous times and response times are very slow. We still have not received the formal cancellation letter from your agency nor have we gotten a signed copy of our release or our request in regards to the EMD. Please reach out to my broker to resolve this issue!!!
